Before opening the Tampa school, Rick enjoyed a career spanning over 20 years in the music and radio industry. Highlights include lineup Tampa 98Rock and some of the biggest rock radio stations in the country, sign recording artists to music labels and market big events and venues. As a radio program director, Schmidt helped launch the career of Florida groups Sister Hazel, Creed and Shinedown. Rick has also represented various artists who have collectively: sold over 1.5 million albums; scored four top 15 rock hits; video playback received on MTV; had music in the video games, and even an artist provided the former Tampa Bay Rays baseball star’s backing song, Evan Longoria.
